Install a 45m² block paving driveway replacing an old cracked concrete slab.

Materials Required:

  • Concrete Block Paving (Qty: 2475 each)
    Concrete block paving 200×100×60mm, BS EN 1338 compliant, driveway grade, colour to be agreed with client — standard grey or brindle
  • MOT Type 1 Crushed Limestone Sub-base (Qty: 13 tonnes)
    MOT Type 1 crushed limestone or granite, graded to Highways specification, for compacted sub-base
  • Sharp Sand (Bedding Layer) (Qty: 4 tonnes)
    Coarse sharp washed sand, suitable for block paving bedding, BS EN 13139 compliant
  • Kiln-Dried Jointing Sand (Qty: 10 bags)
    Kiln-dried silver jointing sand, 20kg bags, for brushing into block paving joints
  • Cement (for edge haunching) (Qty: 4 bags)
    General purpose Portland cement, 25kg bags, BS EN 197-1 CEM I 42.5N
  • Ballast (for edge haunching concrete) (Qty: 1.5 tonnes)
    20mm all-in ballast for mixing haunching concrete, BS EN 12620 compliant
  • Geotextile Membrane (Qty: 50 square metres)
    Non-woven geotextile separation membrane, 130g/m², to be laid between sub-grade and MOT Type 1 sub-base to prevent migration of fines
  • Concrete Edging Kerbs (where required at free edges) (Qty: 16 each)
